Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes with Peanut Butter

So, I received my Spring Fever Vox Box today, and I am so excited!

This blog entry is devoted, however, to a single item. The Tastykake Kandy Bar Kake with Peanut Butter.

See, most people who know me, know that I adore sweets, particularly sweets that combine chocolate and peanut butter. I was pleasantly surprised to find one of these cakes in my Vox Box, because it's something I have wanted to try for a while. I can say, however, that until now, I have had limited exposure to Tastykake products. They only came to my area recently.

This is it, still in the wrapper. Yay, sweets!

This is the cake, outside of the wrapper. The chocolate-peanut butter swirl icing had crumbled a bit, but no more or less than any normal snack cake..

The cake portion is fairly moist. I love that they used Reese's peanut butter for the filling, and it's just smooth and creamy enough. The portion size is just right; I didn't need anything more that was sweet, but neither did I feel cheated in terms of amount.

The average price for the single-serve cake is $1.69, with a 3-pack at $3.99 plus tax at your local grocery store. This is something I would definitely buy for a day when I need a chocolate pick-me-up!
